Question 1

When is the best time to book a newborn photoshoot?

Accepted Answer

I recommend booking during your second trimester to secure your preferred date. Newborn sessions are best held within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are at their sleepiest and most curly. My home studio in Kingston upon Thames is purpose-built for newborn photography, providing a warm, calm environment.

Question 2

Where is your photography studio located?

Accepted Answer

My home studio is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. It's easily accessible from Surbiton, Richmond, Wimbledon, Twickenham, Esher, Cobham, New Malden, Hampton, Thames Ditton, and the wider South West London and Surrey area.

Question 3

How long do newborn sessions take?

Accepted Answer

Newborn sessions can last up to 3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, nappy changes, and cuddles. My approach is entirely baby-led — there is no rush, and we work entirely around your baby's needs to ensure a calm, stress-free experience.

Question 4

What areas do you cover for family outdoor sessions?

Accepted Answer

I photograph family outdoor sessions across Kingston upon Thames, Richmond Park, Bushy Park, Wimbledon Common, Esher, and many other beautiful locations throughout Surrey and South West London. I'm happy to suggest the perfect spot based on your family's style and the season.

Question 5

What should we wear for our photoshoot?

Accepted Answer

For newborn sessions, parents should wear neutral, soft tones — creams, whites, beiges, and soft greys work beautifully. For family outdoor sessions, coordinating (not matching) outfits in complementary tones create the most timeless images. I provide a detailed style guide when you book.

Question 6

How many photos will we receive?

Accepted Answer

Both newborn and family sessions include 10 fully edited digital images. After your session, you'll receive access to a secure online gallery where you can choose your 10 favourites. Upgrade options are available if you'd like additional or all digital images.

Question 7

How much does a session cost?

Accepted Answer

Newborn sessions start from £495 and family outdoor sessions from £295. Both include 10 fully edited digital images and an online viewing gallery. A £100 non-refundable deposit secures your booking. Visit my Packages & Pricing page for full details and upgrade options.

Question 8

When will we receive our photos?

Accepted Answer

Your online viewing gallery will be ready 2–3 weeks after your session. Once you've selected your favourite images, they'll be available for digital download. Print products, if ordered, typically arrive within 2–3 weeks after that.

Question 9

Can siblings and parents be included in newborn photos?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! I love including family and sibling shots as part of every newborn session. These group portraits are some of the most treasured images from any session. I'll guide you through posing so everyone feels comfortable and natural.

Question 10

What happens if my baby arrives early or late?

Accepted Answer

Don't worry at all — flexibility is built into my booking process. Simply let me know when your baby arrives and we'll adjust the session date accordingly. The deposit secures your place in my diary and covers rescheduling. I'm always happy to work around your baby's timeline.
