Newborn Photoshoot

First and foremost, congratulations! Whether you are currently pregnant or just had your baby, this time is so unique and precious and I very much hope you are enjoying it and keeping the stress levels low. :)

Newborn Photoshoot is a perfect way to capture beautiful and timeless images of your new arrival. I normally suggest having your newborn session within the first two weeks of your babies' arrival. The images you will receive will be treasured for life.

FAQ

What will happen on the day?

My newborn photoshoots are generally scheduled in the mornings and I am normally flexible on the start time. I also only book one newborn booking per day.

You will arrive at my home studio and in the following few hours you will have a relaxing experience of chilling on a comfy armchair whilst your baby is in my safe hands but also right next to you for any mum or dad cuddles they will need (free childcare comes as a bonus! :)).

I will be working 100% around your babies' needs. There will be zero pressure on you or your baby during the photoshoot and I aim to keep it as relaxed as possible. There won't be any awkward posing, colourful props or feathers. I focus on natural, light and timeless look and more than anything I focus on babies' comfort. I will capture the squishiness of your newborn as well as all the little precious details.

Can I have some photos taken of me and my baby?

You will have an option to have some family portraits taken with your newborn too. I very much hope you do, even if you don't feel like it on the day!

What should I wear for the session?

If you would like some family photos taken with your newborn, then ideally wearing something neutral works best. No logos, prints, stripes etc. White, black, beige or cream will be perfect. That’s just some suggestions and it’s absolutely fine to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.

Can I bring guests?

As the studio is cosy I recommend a maximum of two adults. If you want to do a larger family shoot then I recommend the Outdoor Photoshoot option .

What if my baby won't settle?

The photoshoot will take anything from 1.5 to 4 hours so there will be plenty of time for your little one to settle. There will be enough time for feeds, nappy changes and cuddles. On top of that, my studio is kept warm and I usually have white noise on too so the environment is just perfect for the newborn to fall asleep. There is a chance you will have a quick nap too!

Do I need to bring anything?

Only your usual baby bag - nappies, change of clothes, dummy, extra feeds if bottle feeding etc.
